Court documents say Frank, who was the rehabilitation center’s medical director, approved an incorrect and dangerous dose of methotrexate, a drug used to treat a rare medical condition that can damage muscle tissue. Methotrexate also has strict warnings that it could cause a “serious toxic reaction, which can be fatal.” The victim was only supposed to take 20 milligrams of the drug every seven days.
